To all shipping agents and tug companies:
Narragansett Bay restrictions: The 9 buoy has been repositioned clearing the ship channel for vessels transiting to and from Providence. However due to buoys still being dragged out of position by ice, transits to and from
Providence are restricted to daylight only. The restriction will remain in place until conditions improve. Contact the pilot office for updates.
Cape Cod Canal restrictions : Canal Control has advised that the daylight only fair tide restriction for tug and barge units carrying petroleum has been lifted. There remains in place a restriction of one way traffic only
through the canal. Contact the canal well in advance of intended canal transits for updates.
Davisville restrictions: There are currently no restrictions for vessels transiting to and from Davisville. Contact the pilot office for updates.
